COPS Night Out Against Crime, Aug 6
Spokane C.O.P.S. is sponsoring a Night Out Against Crime 2013 on Tuesday, August 6.
They’re asking participants to “give crime a going-away party” in honor of the 30th annual National Night Out Against Crime. Participants can schedule a barbecue, potluck, or any kind of get-together.
The National Night Out (NNO) has become a way for people all across the United States to show their unity in the face of crime. In the past, NNOs have resulted in the formation of Block Watch areas and allowed residents and business owners the chance to meet the officers who patrol their neighborhoods.
NNOs can:
- Strengthen neighborhood support
- Increase crime prevention awareness
- Stimulate anti-crime efforts
If you’d like to register your own party, there’s still time! Click here to register your NNO party online. Or simply download the NNO registration form and then fax it to (509) 835-4595 or take it to your nearest C.O.P.S. Shop. Emerson-Garfield’s COPS North Central substation is located at 630 W Shannon [map].
