Here are upcoming EGNC events, feel free to share, we look forward to seeing you soon!
Hello all,
I hope this message finds you well – happy February! The EGNC was informed last week that a Type III Conditional Use Permit has been submitted for the proposed use change at 601 W. Mansfield (previously referred to as the ‘Mansfield Grocery’). The permit application and associated documents are available here.
As the agency comment period closes on Feb 12 (the day of our next regularly scheduled EGNC meeting), we will hold an ad hoc, extra meeting on Feb 10 to discuss any comment we would like to submit in the review period. Please see below for meeting details and attached for the agenda. Please note that if we are interested in voting on a resolution, we will need a quorum of voting EGNC members. We will offer both in-person and Zoom options, and if you need assistance to join via Zoom, please reach out to me and we’ll try to set you up.
EGNC ad hoc meeting: Mansfield CUP
Date and time: Monday, February 10 — 6pm
Location: In-person location TBD and on Zoom
We will still hold our regularly scheduled February meeting on Wednesday, Feb 12. My hope is that our ad hoc meeting is 1 hour or less. I will be in touch later in the week with our in-person meeting location.*
Thank you,
Eileen Kazura
EGNC Chair
*Please keep a close eye on your email and our FB page for the in-person location details.

EGNC would like to share the information below with the Emerson/Garfield community.
From the Spokane Regional Transportation Council –
In partnership with Spokane County and Commute Smart Northwest, SRTC is currently updating the region’s Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) Plan. The CTR program is intended to help reduce drive-alone trips throughout the region and encourages the use of alternative transportation options such as public transit, biking, walking, and teleworking options.
As part of this effort, we wanted to invite you to our virtual open house, scheduled for Wednesday, August 21 at 6pm. During this time, attendees will learn more about Commute Trip Reduction and can share their commute experience and obstacles. If you’d like to join us, you can join via zoom at the link provided: https://bit.ly/CTR-OPEN-HOUSE

You can also provide your input by taking our 3-minute survey: https://bit.ly/CTR-SRTC.
También disponible en español: https://bit.ly/CTR-SRTC-ESP.
Your comments help inform planning strategies and investments throughout the region. Survey results will be shared between SRTC and a host of local planning agencies, such as Spokane County, the City of Spokane, Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake, Airway Heights, Cheney, and Medical Lake.
If you have any questions for us or would like more information, you can reach out to mredlinger@srtc.org and bkloskey@srtc.org – or contact the SRTC office at 509-343-6370.
Thank you for being a valuable part of this community, and we hope to see you at the virtual open house!
