Meet the EGNC Tomorrow at the COHBC Garage Sale

Got lingering questions about the Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood Council? You can catch up with us tomorrow (Saturday, July 6) at the Christ Our Hope Bible Church community garage sale.

We’ll have a table where you can chat face-to-face with members of the EGNC and find out just what the neighborhood council is and what it does. They’ll be able to tell you about upcoming events like the farmers’ market and the concert in Emerson Park, how the neighborhood council can help improve your street, and ways you can contribute your time or expertise to the EGNC.

Please feel free to stop by and say hi. We hope to see some new faces there!

COHBC Community Garage Sale, July 6

COHBC Community Garage Sale, July 6

COHBCChrist Our Hope Bible Church will be hosting their annual neighborhood garage sale on Saturday, July 6 in the parking lot of COHBC. The sale will run from 9am to 1pm.

This event is open to buyers and sellers from the entire neighborhood, not just COHBC congregants. Each summer the church intentionally opens this garage sale to everyone in an effort to build stronger community relationships and establish meaningful conversations among neighbors.

If you want to sell items yourself, please reserve a table by contacting Mark Baker via e-mail or by phone on (509) 979-9903. It’s free!

Want to lend COHBC an additional helping hand? They’ll begin setting up for the event at 7am for anyone who can come early, and they could also use help cleaning up afterward.

And no matter whether you sell, buy, or show up just to browse, you can always help spread the word by downloading the flyer and posting it elsewhere.

Corbin Park Yard Sale, June 15

Corbin Park Yard Sale, June 15

The annual Corbin Park Yard Sale will take place next Saturday, June 15.

That’s all the info we’ve got, unfortunately. We’re assuming that it will run — as in years past — from 9am to 4pm, rain or shine.

And, assuming other details remain the same, the participating homes will span the blocks between Division and Post [map] in Emerson-Garfield — which means streets like Waverly Place, Park Place, Cleveland and Euclid. They’ll be selling everything under the sun: antiques, collectibles, baby items, books, electronics, kitchenware, linen, glassware, tools, arts and crafts, CDs and DVDs, furniture, kids’ clothes and toys.

The early weather forecast looks promising: 80° and sunny.
