Here’s a short video from the City recapping the twenty traffic-calming projects that have been carried out across Spokane in the past year through approximately $617,000 in Photo Red funding. It also mentions some of the proposed projects for 2015. North Monroe and Emerson-Garfield businesses have banded together and arranged their first holiday shopping bus tour. It takes place this Saturday, December 6 and runs from 11:00am to 3:30pm. At its November meeting the Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood Council voted to approve a boundary expansion to include land ceded by the Northwest Neighborhood Association. The NWNA was not seeing any representation from this peninsular area on their southern border and felt that this was because it was a more natural geographical fit for Emerson-Garfield. STA Moving Forward is the Spokane Transit Authority’s draft ten-year implementation plan that proposes to sustain existing service levels and provide more and better transit for the growing region.
