The Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood Council and Spokane C.O.P.S. are jointly hosting a neighborhood crime prevention meeting and workshop on Thursday, July 26 at Knox Presbyterian Church (806 W Knox). It runs from 6 to 8pm. There will be presentations from Dale Wells, the SPD resource officer for Emerson-Garfield, and Mark Sterk, who oversees safety and security for Spokane Public Schools, as well as opportunities for discussions and feedback. The PeTT Committee will host members of the city council, the police department, the streets department, and the parks department for a forum to discuss the imposition of 20 MPH speed limits around all city parks and certain residential areas the city council may chose to designate. EVERYONE IS INVITED!
