2016 Corbin Park Yard Sale (June 18)

The annual Corbin Park Yard Sale is running this Saturday, June 18 from 9am to 5pm. All the homes surrounding Corbin Park are able to participate. They typically have plenty for sale: clothes, furniture, kitchen items, books, games, toys and lots more. There will also be various charities with booths selling snacks, baked goods, plus arts & crafts. Show the world you’re attending via the Facebook event.

This Friday (June 3) is the Neighbor Day Festival hosted by the West Central Community Center. It will run from 3 to 7pm in A.M. Cannon Park (1920 W Maxwell Ave), which is located right next to the center. Neighbor Day is an annual community-wide festival with live music, free food, face painting, a fun street fair, market-style vendors, crafts and community resource booths. This is a brief recap of the Emerson-Garfield Neighborhood Council meeting that took place on November 11, 2015. Officer Tracy Douglas reported on the monthly statistics for area “P2,” which includes Emerson-Garfield as well as West Central and parts of the North Hill Neighborhood.
